I Have A Need For Speed

Poppy is our first dog and from day one has always been a joy to have, she is loveable and affectionate. She's very laid back for a collie but as soon as a ball comes out she's ready for action.
Poppy has enjoyed all sorts or activities in the past, one of her favourites was agility, this is where she turns into a real collie, she has focus and drive which at times can be hard to keep her on the right track as she's so quick you have to try and be one step ahead of her at all times, not easy :-) but she LOVES it.
She also enjoyed obedience for fun and has worked her way through the Kennel Club Good Citizen Scheme Bronze, Silver & Gold. She's also been known to enjoy some gundog training and will happily retrieve dummies and take directions.
Her most prized possession in life is a ball and she loves nothing more than going out on walks with it and chasing it the entire time, bringing back sometimes though is a different matter, she usually gets one of the Tollers to do that part for her ;-) she also loves swimming.
After a nice long walk she'll come home and curl up in her favourite bed and then you don't hear another peep from her for the rest of the evening.
Unfortunately Poppy has PRA, Optic Nerve Hyperplasia & the beginning of cataracts which means she is loosing her sight. She is coping really well as it's been a gradual thing that has been going on for several years. She does tend to rely on her other senses more nowadays.
She has also got Inflammatory Bowel Disease, as long as she has her own food & treats it's easily managed.
I'm quite lucky to still have Pops as I know quite a few people who would like to take her home as she's such a sweetie but she's not going anywhere :-)
